Our Mission as a Children's Education Charity
The mission of RICH Learning International (RLI) is to provide a new, effective and lasting means of educating youth of promise and economic need in the US and throughout the world, using the powerful combination of music, theater, dance, artistic expressions and emerging immersive technologies.
The vision of RLI is to enable youth and families who ordinarily do not have the wherewithal to access this type of learning to gain educational opportunities through this rich, new and exciting way of teaching and learning. This is what makes us a trusted children's education charity for underserved communities across the globe.

We believe effective education starts with understanding the brain. Our approach, rooted in neuroeducation, translates complex science into simple, practical teaching strategies. We integrate music, rhythm and structured movement to build memory, focus and social-emotional skills in a way that feels like play.

- Powering Our Progress
Champions of Joyful Learning
Together with our close partner, the for-profit RICH Learning Worldwide, RLI is working to develop multiple immersive online worlds that are impactful to use, educationally effective and fun to engage for child and parent alike. These creative Web 3.0 worlds will set the stage to enrich and significantly alter the educational trajectories of children’s lives. The first world in development is a space station virtual school “The City of Six Towers” with virtual alien cartoon tutors teaching core subjects through music, dance, art and cartoon theater sketches.

A Note From Our Founder
Founded in 2015 by neuroeducation pioneer Dr. Rich Melheim and Dr. Wm. C. Nelsen of www.scholarshipamerica.org RLI has facilitated pilot projects to test our methods, models, and materials in Minnesota, India, Ethiopia, Egypt and South Carolina.
When I first started this journey, my goal was simple: to answer the questions, ‘How can we short-circuit the short circuits of learning disabilities through engaging the arts?’ and ‘How can we make learning as joyful and natural as breathing?’ The answer lies in understanding the incredible potential of a child’s brain. RICH Learning International is the culmination of that dream—a team of brilliant, dedicated people working to bring evidence-based joy to classrooms everywhere. What began as a small experiment has grown into the children’s education charity it is today. Thank you for believing in this mission with us.
