Why Our Work Matters

RICH Learning International (RLI), a Minnesota non-profit organization dedicated to “access to excellence” in education, is preparing to sponsor its first million underserved children with an on ramp to the future of rich metaversal education.

Partnering with our sister organization, RICH Learning Worldwide (RLW) , we are creating crazy, fun and imaginative online learning worlds children will enter to sing, dance, create art, play and go on learning quests together.

For every child who can afford a monthly membership into these worlds through RLW, our non-profit will grant access to a child who can’t. Our Phase I goal of $1,000,000 will provide access to the first 100,000 children into the RICH Learning worlds. Our next goal? A million children laughing, learning and joining kids from across the globe on learning quests that turn them into friends. Note: People give when they are asked by someone else to give. The Future of Learning

The future of learning won’t be in brick-and-mortar classrooms with children sitting quietly in desks listening to lectures. Children will learn what they want, when they want, with whom they want, wherever they want. They will shrink into nano-spaceships to be injected into the blood stream to study the circulatory system. They will beam to the Eiffel Tower with a cohort of international friends to go on a learning quest across Paris and across time to learn their French.They will rocket off to the edges of the universe toward the Hubble Space Telescope to learn astronomy. They will sing, dance and play games with goofy virtual alien AI tutors who personalize everything they want to learn based on their learning styles, aptitudes, interests and even their momentary hormone levels.

The world of education is about to explode and expand. The problem? Opportunities will be endless for those who can afford it. For those who can’t, the on-ramp into these worlds of rich metaversal education will be closed. Hundreds of millions of children and families will be left behind.

RICH Learning Theory

RICH Learning Theory, created by pioneer educational philosopher Dr. Rich Melheim , is best explained in his groundbreaking book "RICH Learning”. In it Dr. Rich outlines a simple but profound concept of brain-based learning on arts-based platforms. The book unveils the neurological power of integrating music, movement, visual arts and theater into the core of education. Dr. Rich argues these performance arts are hands-down the most effective tools for engaging young minds, fostering attention, retention, creativity and fostering joyfilled lifelong learning.
